How does the cap space with him work? I know what happens if we cut him (post June 1 cut - his dead cap is split over this season and next. What happens if we hold onto him?

I think the contract dead cap spacing across multiple years stays how it is and we get the cap space next year. I wonder if AB can break this down.

what happens to BAs cap space relief that we would get if he stays on the left squad list for the next year?

So we're not getting the cap space back, nobody's trading the lint from their dryer for this guy, best we can hope for is recover some of the money that was paid to him? Keep him with the team in a capacity that doesn't take up a roster spot as a way to call his bluff.
